The health benefits of matcha, the whole green tea leave grounded into a potent powder, are profound. Matcha allows for a gentle caffeinated buzz, but thanks to L-Theanine, an active compound of green tea, matcha also induces a sense of elevated calm.
The green powder is also full of powerful antioxidants, offering benefits for skin, cell and brain health. Basically, you can have your cake and eat it too.

1-11/2 cup plant based mylk of choice - we love oat, coconut, home-made hemp or cashew mylk
1 tsp Elevate Elixir or organic matcha powder
1/2-1 tbsp healthy fat (optional, but adds delicious creaminess and valuable energy/nutrients) - we love coconut oil, coconut butter, coconut mct oil or ghee
½-1 tsp unrefined sweetener - we love raw honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, coconut nectar, green stevia or ½-1 medjol date
½ tsp spice (optional for flavour/extra nutrients) - we love ceylon cinnamon, ginger, cardamom
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for about a minute, or until frothy and creamy. Gently heat on the stovetop or in a milk frother (be careful not to boil), or serve cold with an optional ice cube. Add a frozen banana to the blender for a delicious, filling matcha milk-shake.
